The Kenya Health Convention was first organised in March 2020, attended by more than 500 Health Sector Stakeholders and inaugurated by President Uhuru Kenyatta. The main objective was to create a national forum of Health Sector Stakeholders to annually congregate with Health Authorities to share insights about the sector and give feedback on how to manage and grow this critical Sector of the Kenya economy.

The theme of that Convention was Promoting Kenya as a Regional Healthcare Hub & Investment Destination. The stakeholders were also concerned about the lack of Quality of Care Certification Framework and Manual to guide the Health Sector for all purposes.

The envisaged annual rhythm of the Convention was immediately put on ice by Covid-19 which prevented any gathering of that nature for two years followed immediately by unfavourable business dynamics.

The Convention is now back with expanded objectives mainly for the private sector since this is a private sector initiative. This 2nd Convention will largely provide the forum for finding solutions to the current challenges facing healthcare in Kenya.
